Hiking & Biking
The hiking and biking trails around Bietigheim-Bissingen offer a good opportunity to spend your free time actively and without harming the enviroment. Various routes of different lengths are offered for both hikers and cyclists. But you can also simply go for a walk on your own and explore our beautiful city and its surroundings in a very informal way.
For the various hiking trails and routes, hiking maps are available from the Tourist Information.
The network of cycle paths outside Bietigheim is approx. 75 km on paved dirt roads. In addition, there are another 35 km of cycle paths within the Bietigheim-Bissingen city district.
The city is located directly on the Enz Valley Cycle Path, which leads from the source of the Enz River in the northern Black Forest to the mouth of the Neckar River. You can learn a lot about the rafting world by following the rafting trail. In the lower section of the Enz, it leads - partly on the Enz Valley Cycle Path - from Besigheim to Bissingen. In addition, Bietigheim-Bissingen lies on the cycle path of the Deutsche Fachwerkstraße (German Half-timbered Street), which with a length of 844 km is the longest cycle path in Baden-Württemberg, as well as on the Stromberg-Murrtal-weg, which is a state cycle path.
Canoeing on the Enz is possible around Mühlacker or Vaihingen on the Enz to the mouth of the Neckar. Canoe tours are also offered on the Neckar.
For all those who want to find their way without maps, the Outdooractiveregio portal for the Kraichgau-Stromberg region offers not only the possibility of discovering all the trails via GPS, but also much more.
